Jijivisha

So I smiled at me
During my downtime,
When the world became quiet
And the noise of the day
Faded into the soft hum
Of my own thoughts …

I found a comfort
In the echo of silence …
In the reflection of my heart,
In the gentle nod of self-acceptance,
Knowing that in the stillness,
I am enough …

I found myself
In a moment of confusion,
Flickering like nearby, distant stars…
Leaving me
To wonder,
To ponder
The newly discovered
Myself and serendipity …

Ah!
That haze in the spark …
That whisper of confusion …
And of uncertainty …
There is a path
For me …
A chance
To see, to know, to be …

So I smile
More during my downtime,
When the world becomes quiet
And the noise of the day
Fades into the soft hum
Of my own thoughts …

Jijivisha/ hindi / sanskrit
(n.) jijivisha is the intense desire to live (or continue living) in the highest sense of being … it is ‘the will to live’ … It is a powerful force that drives us to keep going, even when things are tough. It is the spark of life that keeps us fighting for another day

Poetry has taken over a poem
Time is on my side
Thrilled to watch me try ….

Poetry has taken over a poem
Love is beautiful and wide
Whose music will never die …

Poetry has taken over a poem
Moment is now and happening
A tale being told in the sky …

Poetry has taken over a poem
Stillness fills up empty spaces
Answers my every single why …

‘All poems are poetry, but not all poetry is a poem’ ….

Conversation over Coffee

She says, He says
He says, She says

⁃ You ll get hurt.

⁃ Then try not to hurt me. And why are you determined to hurt me? Do you need time? To think?

⁃ No

⁃ Okay. I asked you to go on a trip with me but why haven’t you replied? What’s with that look? This is boring. Forget it.

⁃ Have you ever lied in your life?

⁃ I don’t lie. But to be truth to you I have lied when I was little.

Oh, wait! I guess I’m lying right now?

⁃ Now?

⁃ The fact that you still haven’t given me an answer about going on a trip together is really getting on my nerves right now. And I’m honestly a little hurt. But I’m acting like I’m fine, so I guess that counts as a lie. Heyyyy, why are you laughing? If you don’t like me that much, let’s just end it here.

⁃ You can’t just thoughtlessly trust someone when they haven’t done anything to gain your trust. We are not kids.

⁃ You have a point. Right!

⁃ Let’s go on a trip.

⁃ What? But I didn’t do anything to gain your trust.

⁃ You did.

⁃ When?

⁃ Just now. You told me you don’t lie. That’s good enough.

⁃ You’re very peculiar.

⁃ Let’s go on a trip to Stupa Island.

⁃ Stupa Island sounds great.

⁃ Okay.
